The CM8870 is a complete DTMF (Dual Tone Multi-Frequency) receiver and decoder IC. It is designed to decode DTMF signals used in telephone signaling and other applications requiring tone detection. The chip converts the received DTMF tone signals into a corresponding 4-bit binary output.
