The CJMCU-530 Distance Measurement Sensor Module is a high-performance device that leverages the capabilities of the VL53L0X sensor. This sensor operates based on the Time of Flight (ToF) principle, which sets it apart from conventional distance measurement sensors that rely on an IR sender and receiver.
Operating Principle
Instead of determining distance by analyzing the angle of the reflected beam, ToF sensors calculate the duration photons spend in the air. This approach yields more precise results, particularly when dealing with black objects that typically pose a challenge for traditional IR sensors due to their poor light reflection.
Performance and Functionality
The CJMCU-530 sensor exhibits superior performance when compared to its counterpart, the GY-530. It necessitates a 5V connection to the XSH (shutdown pin) Pin. In the event of a power outage or weak power, the sensor will initiate a shutdown to safeguard itself. The sensor's start and stop operations can be managed through this pin using a signal from your Arduino.
