TB6612FNG Dual Motor Driver 1A Microcontroller
The TB6612FNG is a dual motor driver capable of managing two DC motors with a steady current of 1.2A, peaking at 3.2A. It utilizes two input signals, IN1 and IN2, to govern the motor in one of four operational modes: Clockwise (CW), Counter-Clockwise (CCW), short-brake, and stop. Each motor output, A and B, can be independently controlled, and the motor speed is regulated by a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) input signal with a maximum frequency of 100kHz. To deactivate the standby mode, the STBY pin must be set high. The logic supply voltage (VCC) can range from 2.7VDC to 5.5VDC, while the motor supply (VM) must not exceed 15VDC. The output current is rated up to 1.2A per channel, or up to 3.2A for a brief, single pulse. The board is delivered with all components pre-installed, including decoupling capacitors on both supply lines. All TB6612FNG pins are accessible via two 0.1" pitch headers, with input pins on one side and output pins on the other.
Key Features:
- Power supply voltage: VM=15V max, VCC=2.7-5.5V
- Output current: Iout=1.2A (average) / 3.2A (peak)
- Standby control for power conservation
- CW/CCW/short brake/stop motor control modes
- Built-in thermal shutdown and low voltage detection circuits
- All pins of the TB6612FNG accessible via 0.1" spaced pins
- Filtering capacitors on both supply lines
