The DRV8825 Stepper Motor Driver stands as a superior microstepping driver equipped with an inbuilt translator, simplifying its operation. It is engineered to control bipolar stepper motors in various modes, including full, half, quarter, eighth, and sixteenth-step. The driver can handle an output drive capacity reaching up to 45 V and ±2.5 A.
Key Features:
- Adjustable current control feature allows the setting of the maximum current output using a potentiometer. This feature enables the use of voltages higher than your stepper motor's rated voltage to achieve increased step rates.
- Smart chopping control that autonomously chooses the appropriate current decay mode (either fast decay or slow decay).
- Protection features include over-temperature thermal shutdown, under-voltage lockout, and crossover-current protection.
- Additional safety measures include short-to-ground and shorted-load protection.
