Tilt Sensor Module Switch SW-520D
The SW-520D Tilt Sensor Module is designed to detect tilt by utilizing two internal balls. As the sensor tilts to a certain angle, the balls disconnect from the connectors beneath the sensor, functioning as an open switch. Conversely, when the sensor is in an upright position, the balls make contact with the connectors on the sensor's leg, closing the switch. The sensor's sensitivity can be adjusted using the built-in potentiometer. The LM393 comparator processes the sensor's information, and the sensor's status can be monitored via the integrated LEDs.
Key Features of the Module:
- Employs the highly sensitive SW-520D switch as the angle sensor.
- Provides a clean, well-defined comparator output signal with a driving ability exceeding 15mA.
- Operates on a working voltage of 3.3V-5V.
- Outputs in a digital switching format (0 and 1).
- Incorporates a fixed bolt hole for easy installation.
- Compact PCB board size: 3.2cm x 1.4cm.
- Uses a wide voltage LM393 comparator.

Module Usage:
For detailed wiring instructions of the module, please refer to the wiring diagram provided below.
The module's output is dependent on the angle of the switch. When the angle switch is off, the DO output is high; when the angle switch is on, the DO output is low. This output can be directly connected to a microcontroller, allowing the microcontroller to detect changes in angle by monitoring the high and low outputs.
The module's output can also directly drive relays, enabling the creation of a high-power angle switch. This feature can be used to protect electrical equipment by automatically cutting off power when a certain tilt angle is detected.
